English Preparatory Course

  • This Programme is an intensive English language course only. It prepares candidates to study full-time courses in most departments of Wrocław University, though more information must be obtained directly from the department in question. The required level of English is B2, on the CEFR scale, and the syllabus of the Programme  caters for this language qualification.
  • The course  is taught during the Polish academic year, from October to June.
  • The course is open to candidates whose minimum age is 18 years and maximum 24 years.
  • Currently, the fee for the course is 3,500 euros. This covers 720 hours* of overall tuition (four hours per day, five days in a week), and the Agency’s commission fee. Additionally the candidate will pay a non-refundable registration fee of 200 euros.  *Polish standard tuition hour is 45 minutes        
  1. To apply for the course, candidates should fill in a Registration Form  and send it to us.
  2. The candidate should then sit our Placement Test which will be sent to them after the Registration Form has been dispatched to us.It is essential that the Placement Test Pack remains confidential at all times and is administered under the strict supervision of the agent. No third parties should be engaged. Candidates must not be allowed access to the Question Papers at any time before or after the test. They should write their answers on the Answer Sheets only.
  3. The answers should then be sent to us to be marked and to allow us to decide whether the candidate’s language competence is satisfactory, whereupon he may be accepted for the course.
  4. Having received our Confirmation of Acceptance (with the enclosed Declaration), the candidate should:
    • make the required payments to the University bank account  and send confirmation thereof.
    • submit either a copy of medical insurance and insurance against accidents covering the duration of the course, or a  European Health Insurance    Card; it is also possible to join, upon arrival, the Polish National Health Fund,  
    • sign and send to SINJA the Declaration.
  5. The candidate will receive our Final Admission Letter.
  6. The candidate should then apply for a student visa in the Polish Consulate / Embassy or obtain any other permission from the Polish government   to reside the country under similar provisions. The candidate will satisfy all visa requirements and cover visa charges.
  7. The University can arrange accommodation in a hall of residence. The approximate monthly rent is between 130 (double room) and  230 Euros (single room).
  8. The other costs of living in Poland total to an average of PLN 1,200 (300 euros) per month
  9. The University can arrange for the candidate to be met at the airport upon arrival in Wroclaw.
  • Candidates will accept that before the course starts they will be asked to sit an additional Language Aptitude Verification Test to make sure they are placed at the appropriate level.
  • Candidates should be made aware that in order to receive a document certifying their language competence they have to prove satisfactory attendance record during the course, which is a minimum 90% of all the classes, and pass all final achievement tests and examinations.
